Just Ask for Vee!

VaLori McDonald Hanssen is known to all of us as just "Vee!" She is a native Wichitan that returned to her roots. As a result, she has brought back to us a great deal of real estate expertise learned in much more competitive markets. Vee! was born and raised in Wichita Falls. Her Dad preached at the Antelope Methodist Church and would often trailer their boat to Sunday morning services. After fellowship and lunch the family headed to Possum Kingdom Lake to water ski for the day. Vee! attended Wichita Falls High School. She left Texas after attaining a Bachelor of Science Degree in Speech Communication and recognition of graduation with Special Honors from the University Of Texas in Austin.

Vee! was hired by I.T.T. - Community Development Corp and became a leading real estate salesperson in Palm Coast, Florida for the largest planned community in the nation in the 1980's. Later as a Florida Commercial Real Estate broker, she became an independent contractor for the R.T.C., Resolution Trust Corp., which was operated by the F.D.I.C. Her duties included management and disposition of a large commercial portfolio. After the decline of the commercial market nationally, Vee! changed gears and returned to residential development. She relocated to Orlando, where Vee! won several distinguished awards in new home construction sales. The most noteworthy being recognized by the Home Builders Association in 1993 as their Top Producer in new construction sales in Central Florida by selling 106 homes "to-be-built" for more than nine million dollars in sales. She also set a national record with one of the ten largest builders in the nation. At the height of Vee's promising and competitive career in Florida real estate, she married another award winning real estate competitor, Keith Hanssen, and gave birth to their first child. The real estate couple's priorities drastically changed, which caused them to relocate to Possum Kingdom Lake in pursuit of a quality environment to raise their family.

In 1995, the Hanssens opened a real estate office on the West side of Possum Kingdom Lake, which eventually lead to a merger with Mary Lou Palmros of Possum Kingdom Lake Real Estate. Early in 1996 the Hanssen's purchased Possum Kingdom Real Estate from Mary Lou Palmros. Vee! has since been the sponsoring Broker and Marketing Director for the company. Her responsibilities include supporting the efforts of absolutely exceptional Realtors, each of whom have already had successful careers in other service related professions. Together with her husband Keith, they are very proud of the team's reputation, quality work environment, and results made in behalf of their valued clients.

By 2006 Possum Kingdom Real Estate agents had worked hard to earn seventy four per cent of the market share by listing and selling residential lakefront properties. The total combined sold listings and sales totaled more than eighty million dollars worth of real estate in one year. PERSONAL

Today, Vee! and Keith are the blessed parents of three healthy kids. Ava is sixteen years old and Faith "Pekabu" is the middle child who is eleven years old. Lars Christian is their nine year old son. The kids attend the Open Door Christian School in Graham. Keith and Vee! are active in ministry. The Hanssens enjoy a blessed life at the lake and attend Oak Street Baptist Church in Graham and occasionally attend the Community Church of P.K.
